A Caring Community of God's People

Who we are and What we believe

 Who We Are
We are a Church in the Presbyterian tradition, but we have members from many different church backgrounds.  We are committed to obeying the Bible as the Word of God, allowing one another freedom in its interpretation.  Our worship is liturgical, but we aren't stodgy about it.  We take our Christian commitment seriously, but we do not take ourselves seriously.

We seek to glorify God, to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, and to nurture people spiritually.  We worship together, share each other's joys and sorrows, and enjoy fellowship and working together.

We seek to be attentive to God's grace both in the Church and the world around us.  We are especially interested in offering the best of Christian worship and music, in encouraging each other to grow spiritually, in sharing the Good News about Jesus through our witness and service and in ministry to the community and world around us.

What We Believe
The faith we affirm unites us with the one, universal church.  The most important beliefs of Presbyterians are those we share with other Christians and especially with other evangelical Christians who look to the Protestant Reformation as a renewal of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

We trust in the one triune God, and we affirm that in life and death we belong to God.  We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God, who proclaimed the reign of God, was crucified, and gave his life for the sins of evil, and delivering us from death to life eternal.

We trust in God the Holy Spirit.  In a broken and fearful world, the Spirit gives us courage to pray without ceasing, to witness to Christ as Lord and Savior, and to unmask idolatries in Church and culture.  We strive to serve Christ in our daily tasks, even as we watch for God's new heaven and new earth, praying "come, Lord Jesus".

With believers in every time and place, we rejoice that nothing in life or in death can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus, Our Lord.
